Köfte

Turkish meatballs served with yoghurt, pine nuts, mint and pomegranate


Good frozen


Ingredients:

  • 250g minced beef

  • 1 egg

  • 1 bunch mint

  • 1 onion

  • 2 tbsp pine nuts

  • ¼ cup pomegranate seeds

  • 2 cloves garlic

Directions


Set the oven to 200 degrees.


In a pan, fry the onions until golden.


In a bowl, mix together the fried onions with the mint, egg, beef, pine nuts,

garlic, salt and pepper.


Shape into small balls.


Heat olive oil in a pan, and fry for about 5-10 mins until brown on the edges.


Put into the oven for 5-10 mins covered with foil until cooked in the inside.


Sprinkle with the pomegranates seeds and serve with rice and yoghurt.
